Hello to all and welcome to the 2011 NHL Playoffs! We left way too early last season and we're happy to be back in action. I hope everyone has enjoyed all 82 regular season games and is ready for some intense playoff action! It was certainly an interesting road getting to this point. How many thank you cards do you think Dallas Stars have received from the Blackhawks so far? Talk about really blowing your chances. Yikes!
Tonight kicks off round one with five games.
In the East we have:
#1 Washington Capitals vs #8 NY Rangers @ 7:30pm
#4 Pittsburgh Penguins vs #5 Tampa Bay Lightning @ 7pm
And in the West:
#1 Vancouver Canucks vs #8 Chicago Blackhawks @ 10pm
#3 Detroit Red Wings vs #6 Phoenix Coyotes @ 7pm
#4 Anaheim Ducks vs #5 Nashville Predators @ 10:30pm
It's been a great season so far, and I know the playoffs will be just as exciting. If you're growing a beard to support your team please join in on the fun! I plan on posting pictures every night around game time, 7:00pm-ish. The more the merrier! We are obviously Caps fans but we love hockey and don't discriminate. (Even though I can't figure out how my brother is a Penguins fan). If you'd like your picture posted (or your husband's) please email it to me and I will add it to the group.
